Here we have a retelling of the gospel story of the crucifixion in rhyme over twenty-two lines. It is this total that causes the only problem i have with the poem which, in its present form is likely to be disqualified as a minimum of twenty-four lines is required according to the rules published by the contest sponsor. For that reason alone I can only award four stars. If you can remedy this to comply with the contest requirements I would be appy to reassess.
2nd Review.
The added two lines bring this into compliance and fit seamlessly into the whole. Good luck in the contest.

A captivating account of the Holy Text story, the king who served his lower brethren, attempting to inform them of their unrighteous deeds. I found it a pleasant read with comforting views.

A very well-written poem about the crucifiction of Jesus who sacrificed his life to save the lives of human beings because we are worthy in God's eyes. He thought we are worthy, but are we

Sadly he is being looked down on and opposed to this day. Hatred, violence immorality, greed, false religious prideful teaching, false prophets abound throughout the land selling the good news which was to be told for free. The day is coming when all the haters, the scoffers will gnash their teeth in recognition of the price they will have to pay for their sinful ways.

Writers in this site that glorify God in their poetry are the true warriors of God. Evangelizing and bringing the gospel to the readers through writing is such a noble purpose that all Christians must seek. Thanks for inspiring us.

This was lovely, mystery author. The rhyme and meter, sonnet perfect. Even better when read aloud. I think this is the most inspiring part of the Bible. Jesus, after all the amazing miracles, shatters the last fear - overcoming even death.
Great job!
Best of luck in the contest.

Very nicely rhymed and though sad, you have told a wonderful and happy story. Easter is upon us and we are again, as every year celebrating the re-birth of Christ. Happy to know he was chosen to save us all from sin. Good Luck and Best Wishes in the Contest! Sherman541

An excellent retelling of the crucifixion and rising of Christ in poetic form. While the rhyme pattern founders at times, the crafted words make the story complete. The meaning is clear enough for every reader to comprehend the author's belief and intent. Well Done.

Where did you think it foundered? I deliberately changed meter in places to break it up. Thank you for very nice remarks.
-
I wanted to explain better. I didn't want to sound argumentative. The little short parts are Pantygynt form. I thought it would break the monotony of the long poem. I appreciate your review very much. Even though you thought it foundered, you still gave me a lovely five. Thank you.
