Very fine write, Dean. I am not partial to Frost, though that doesn't mean I don't like his works or respect him. He is often times easier to understand then Byron or Shelley.

A wonderful and sensory-rich commentary on one of my very favorite poets. Your eloquent writing seemed to match the somber moo of this author's work, very god package with the picture and bio, altogether a fantastic example of a well worded haiku. Thanks to wonderful posts such as this I am gaining an even greater understanding and appreciation.
Blessings,
Brother Badger

True tribute to the poet
Words few but direct
To the great gift of this poet
Well crafted poem
One of the most admired poet is Robert Frost
Because you can feel his poetry
You can smell the scene
Take a ride with the swing

Ah, I'll bet you thought I had forgotten your review. He he. But a haiku? Couldn't resist. So short, you know. Now, I have no expertise with haiku's, nor much experience. So, what am I doing? What every reader should do with poetry...does it move me? In any way? Or, perhaps impact might be a better, or at least alternative word.
Three short lines.
A lifetime pops up for me.
Outstanding, my friend.
Couldn't believe it.

Although I don't know too much about the man, this seems to be a nice little tribute poem. Long life too, 89 in 1963? Man was a fighter. Excellent work! :)

Dean,
I wish I could give you a seventh star for posting information about Robert Frost in your author's notes. He is one of my favorite poets. You are one of my favorite contemporary poets.
Of course, I always save a sixer for your gem.
As for your gem, I love the alliteration and imagery. I feel empathy for those branches, having to endure those frosty winds. The branches' whisper may be one of pain. The echoes of a soul is just an epic line, metaphorically speaking. Love it!
Thank you for sharing, Dean1 :))
