Okay, I'm off to look up "nonet"...Oh, I see...start with 9 syllables and end with 1. Very cool. Enjoy them while you can; I don't think they'll be syncopating much longer!

Hi flamingstar. I didn't know what a nonet was a year ago either and finally decided to try one after seeing what others were doing. Looks like your got the idea. Thank you for the encouraging review, and I am enjoying listening to the crickets right now. Debi

I enjoyed reading the nonet. It had a sing song rhythm that made it flow well. Written in nonet style. I think I would have preferred a more restful scene in the artwork, perhaps a forest setting.

Hello w.j. debi, A timely Nonet - good format and imagery.
Of note:
chirp night's orchestra, chirp, chirp in tune
(the ultimate sound of summer)
Great artwork choice. Thank you for sharing. Keep the blue waters flowing. LateBloomer

I love cricket opera. No words, no strings, no drums, no woodwinds, just chirp, chirp, chirp that those little critters make not with their mouths or vocalize, but by rubbing those legs together. How awesome is that?

Isn't it great when spring is just starting and you hear the first tweets? My cat loves it too.

This is really a good nonet, you picked a good subject, had spot on syllable count throughout. I was listening to the crickets just the other day when the house was quiet except for them. I absolutely loved the title of Cricket Chorus!!

Hi Debi,
Well, I'm glad someone enjoys the crickets. We have so many here they nearly give me a headache, lol. A lovely poem - sweet and simple and very uplifting.

Lou

Hi Lou,
Yes, I guess I am a bit crazy. I find the sound of the crickets soothing. I hope they do not bother you too often with their noise.
Thank you for the kind remarks about the writing. I appreciate the encouragement. Debi

Your poem is nice about summer, crickets will chirp, chirp and chirp.
You have the required amount of words per line.
Good luck with your nonet.
