This is so cool to look at! I love how it all runs together but still has rhyme. My favorite is the rhyme of WARRIOR and VOYEUR... close enough and very clever!

God Bless the Swamp!! Poor Tim hasn't had a chance since he went to the Broncos and despite taking them to the playoffs got traded for Peyton Manning. Then the Jets, what was he thinking, and New England just cut him last week. If he only had someone to believe in his talent... It wasn't I total wash for me, because I hail from Baltimore and the Ravens won the Superbowl. Though I didn't think that Joe deserved that big payday - we lost too many key players. I'm so glad you posted this. Love the football.

Yes poor Timmy. It's been down hill since Denver. Mr Ryan should be very ashamed of himself for what he did to Tim. I don't think his team will fair any better this year. The Broncos traded a young kid who could only get better for an old man, in football years. No matter how good he is, he only has maybe 2 yrs left if he stays healthy. Tim's fans cause a lot of his problems I think, love hurts sometimes. =} I think the Pats would be a great place for him as Belicheck doesn't put up with all the press buzzing around. Was sorry he was cut, but who knows, he may be back there before the seasons over. I have always like the Ravens and think Joe is good, but he is getting an awful lot of money. I guess it comes with a SB win. Thanks for the nice comments. rox

A very fun poem, Rox. Before I even opened it, I knew it would be about football. Your love of the sport is infectious. I enjoyed the football shape to add to your engaging poem. Well done! :0) Bev

this is very well written, ronanna, you did an excellent job writing this poem about football season. the first year we were married, my husband came in the living room and said, what are you doing. i told him i was watching the superbowl and he was welcome to join me. he told me he'd see me when it was over. he said if he couldn't play it, he didn't want to watch it. jaguars were crazy for turning tim away. he came to the hospital and prayed with the family of a boy in my church that was having brain surgery. the media have made a mockery of him and denver and the patriots were so mean to him. like somebody said, if jacksonville had gotten him, we would have had all of the ticket sales. the jags haven't done anything for years anyway. why not give tim a chance to grow and lead them to the superbowl. no, they want murderers and dog killers to look up to instead of a Christian influence that they can't find a black spot on.

Yes, he has had a rough road, but he's one tough kid and you can't shake him. His trust in the Lord is to great. I don't think he needs football, with all these concussions I'd almost rather see him give it up. But football needs him and more like him. Thanks so much. rox

Wow! Do you have something to look forward with fall approaching! Your enthusiasm is really great, and I like the way you bring in some one the teams and players. wWhatever will happen to Tebow? That is great artwork. I enjoyed the way you shaped the poem on the page. It does have one thinking football. My late father-in-law was a great fan of Indiana University game, and for several years my husband and I accompanied and his wife to the games Bloomington. I never got a clue about the rules of the game. I'm sorry that pro football now has so many felons in its ranks. judi

Yes sadly many players come our of a very bad environment and they can't shake it. But amazingly some of them turn into fine young men. Tim is a great roll model and I wish he could find a team. One day, I'm sure. I like college football too. Thanks so much. Rox

I hope Tebow will land with a team who appreciates him. You're so welcome. judi

The arrangement is attractive as well as creative, since it's football season. It's no doubt you really love the game.

You're a children book writer and I think you'll walk a thousand mile for that! You are artistic, children will find your works attractive! Thumbs up!

Super Bowl and 'tis the football season! Anyone wants to get into the action?
Who's your favorite star and team? And the story goes on. Watch the game on TV and join in the excitement.
Bring the popcorn and don't forget the beer. Get in the action folks!
Enjoy the show - just don't break the TV screen. On second thought, bring a small TV just in case, smiles.
Cheerio, good action write. I am seeing football, football, football written all over the faces of the fans.

Hugs, Ritchie. :))

A five because I am a die-hard bears fan ( yes, it hurts). Football- though I have not played it because I like my brains whole and not scrambled- has always been my favourite spectator sport. You captured your own fan-frenzy well as well as the football shape. Just need to work on meter.

Yes my meter was very bad in this one. I'm a Bears fan too. I like Jay Cutler and think he is under rated. He is the warrior I spoke of. I always think of a general leading his troops down the field when I watch him play, though the poor guy seems to spend most of his time on the turf. =] Thanks so much, rox

I really have no idea what you are talking about because I know next to nothing about American football. All the names you mention are new to me. But I want to praise your display. How long did it take you for goodness sake? It really is excellent. I'm glad you're happy about he football season. I can't be bothered with it here (England) - footballers paid such ridiculously high wages which turns them into prima donnas. Thank you for your write - Regards Dorothy

Yes we have many Prima donnas here too. =} But my Timmy isn't one of them. He's such a good boy. =] It takes a while to do the shape poem, they can make you crazy, but i love it. Thanks so much Dorothy, rox

Oh, yeah....Love me some football! Jersey City born and Meadowlands bound (though it's not the Meadowlands no more....Jimmy Hoffa's remains are safe under the parking lot. Nope, it's not the Jets....your Bucs can do what they need to do....I bleed NY Giants blue:) Great tribute--Ted

I like the Giants too. Love Mr. Manning. He amazes me, I remember one game where they were losing and he came out in the 2nd half and threw like 5 tds and passed for 400yrds. And what can I say about the SB wins over the Pats. Almost identical games! So great! I'm always happy when the Pats get beat, unless Timmy starts playing for them. =} Thanks so much. rox
reply by Tonulak on 05-Sep-2013
Well...not much chance of that...Yeah, I'm not big on the Pats....They have had a walk through the division for years, though they are a good team and Belacek is an ex-Giant and gives credit there....Have fun....put money on Denver tonight:)
