First of all I love cats. I have a stray we adopted, Bette. This poem flows well and describes the workings of a cat's mind. From your words, Leo patiently awaits his turn when she will pay attention to him and not that dog. You have followed the rules. Good luck in the contest.

Hi Patricia; thank you for the lovely review. Leo was a very patient cat. He never did warm up to Harley though,

I really enjoyed reading this poem! We have two cats and a dog. I'm pretty sure our cats feel the same way about dogs as Leo does. Lol ;) I love a good happy ending, so I especially enjoyed when Leo got his time. I also enjoyed learning about the diminished hexaverse. That form is totally new to me and I love trying out new poetic forms. I might just have to give this one a try! It looks fun! Anyway, this was a fabulous poem! It was truly a pleasure to read. :)

Hi Jenna; thank you so much for stopping by to read and review. Currently, I only have two dogs, but I like to remember the times where I lived with two cats and a dog. It made for an interesting time!

I like your Leo poem. It expresses well what it is like to have two pets and the attempt at giving them equal time. I experience that myself. When one is more demanding than the other, it is difficult to keep the balance, right. You did a great job with your sweet poem.

Hi Nancy; thank you so much for stopping by to read and review. I appreciate your time and kind words of encouragement. Leo was very patient and very kind. Thought I'm sure he wanted to, he never attacked Harley!

Very nice!
If inteligent/patient enough, the cat will find her place/love.
The Leo story can be motivational even for humans.
Best,
Gianina

Hi Gianina; thank you for your time to read and review. I appreciate your understanding words, and yes, I think humans could benefit from this lesson, too.

This is great. I enjoyed your Diminished Hexaverse. Such a fun form. I've got to try one of these myself. Your Leo is adorable (all cats are). Your poem, so well done, brought a smile as my kitty is always eager for her time with me, too. Marilyn.

LOL!!! Your writing always brings a smile to my face. Thank you. I've been a little down--not too bad but was hoping for a better diagnosis. (I've been in a lot of pain and was hoping it would just go away, but it won't, oh well, could be worse.)
I need to fan you. :)

Very effective use of the Diminishing Hexaverse format to describe a likely daily activity interaction between your cat and your dog. It flowed well, and was a delight to read and follow. Here's to Pets everywhere!

Hi; thank you so much for reading and reviewing this little poem about Leo. He was a wonderful cat, and though he's been gone since 2012, I still miss him,

Well, here's yet another poetry form I want to try. Today I've been introduced to s diamente and a DwaZy, but this Diminished Hexaverse really intrigues me. You've applied the requirements exactly in this poem to a cat, (yours?) and the illustration chosen picks up the wording and images excellently. Especially, 'grey fur reflects light'
