This is quite funny, and the mirrored image in a spoon must have been a difficult picture to take. He most assuredly looks as if he is attempting to hold in a giggle. :)

Beautifully written! Giggles are so much fun! :) I especially loved the third verse. Great alliteration in "don't die but double" and "giggles will grow".

Great rhymes, great topic, great picture... giggle on!

Brooke, Great poem. I can certainly relate to giggles. Once they start you can't stop them. I really enjoyed this one. Good job. Judy

Yes...the old giggle-gremlin! I know it too well! I laugh very easily - and I LOVE to laugh. I don't know if it's the best medicine, but I do know it helps plenty!

I see no flaws in your poem.

Thanks much for sharing!

Mike

HAH! How many timke have I excused myself from Pastor's sermon be ause I was tempted to break out in laughter. You have captured the deadly moment perfectly Brooke. I find as I grow older, it isn't worth the hernia to supress laughter. I love this poem, it is tied to so many fond memories. Thank you. Rod

Yep, giggles can show up at the most inappropriate time, can't they and you just can't seem to stop them. Cutest picture of Sawyer, with a giggle starting, I think. :>D Miss Sally

Hi Brooke
I love that line,
"Nobody knows when a giggle will grow"... I like the inner rhyme of "knows/grow" and the alliteration in "giggle will grow".
And I especially like this line,
"I didn't invite it, but once it showed up,
that giggle would not keep quiet" ... there are times when kids (and even adults) get giddy... giddiness is funny. You have to join in.
I like the personification of the giggle as if it was a separate entity.

Nicely penned!
your fan,
Kimbob
