Wow you really made this creature appear hideous and thirsty for the darkness. Excellant imagery and breat use of the alphabet...Debra

I love the reference to Kafka. I loved the Metamorphasis and the Penal Colony. The way you space out the words sometimes just one and sometimes 2 lines allows the reader to pause correctly and it really gives emphasis to each word. Halloween is just around the corner. I am telling you a book is in order here. joan marie

Good afternoon poet.
WOW, double wow! You have put some extra thought into this piece, an amazing work, loved it. I can't keep my brain focused enough to ever do this. Good read! Loyd

I saw your name, knew I was in for a treat
You always write of things nice and sweet
Then I read the subject, thought 'what on earth'
But soon realized you'd not lost your mirth

Another great A-Z, and what a unique subject.
Only one word for it - marvellous.
Best wishes
Lawrie

OK, so I'm warped!

Loved this, no real structure, realy just a list, but the pictures conjured are vivid!

hey, I actually love bats. We used to have them swoop around the skies where I grew up on a summer's evening, but when one occasionally got into the attic, I must admit I was not thrilled. Thanks for the review!

I accidentally killed one once, a pipistrelle, it just flew straight into my car, I was heartbroken.

I've killed two squirrels in my day - I can still hear the thunk of the one as I drove across the Dannehouer Bridge. Never have I understood hit and run drivers when people like you and me can be so affected by killing a small critter.

Oh I hear you! Its about time we got rid of those rediculously lenient Vehicular laws and just treated it as assult with a deadly weapon, or murder. As a liberal, I think I'm entiteled to say that some liberal laws suck big time.

as another big time liberal, I'm with you!!!!!

Kafka's most famous little work is Metamorphosis, in which the poor chap wakes up in the morning to find he is a huge bug, whose family now is revolted by him. His other works, like the The Trial, are very existential, very grim, very surreal - I should add this to the author's note! Thank you.
You are my first review. :-)
