This is indeed a stunning picture and the poem adds to the atmosphere of this piece. This provokes beautiful imagery in the mind of this reader at any rate. Well done.

A very descriptive piece and one that reminds us of the many mysteries in this life. Most of them we must simply accept. Good use of the abab rhymes
lovely rhythm and transitioning of thoughts

Perhaps a vine had braided the tapestry
carefully placing each gold decoration,
or maybe bumblebee crocheted it
zigzagging through a path of pollination.
It could have been a mysterious creature. . .
but I suspect it was Mother Nature.
:-)
Lovely write Brooke :-)

Another classic!
I love this.
but she replied that she had none
to spare among her stores of gold.
'I leave to you to figure out.'
I wanted you to tell me the answer. I guess I will never know.

Thank you, Marion, for your thoughtful review. To me, the answer is plain, but I try not to foist my faith on others :-) I prefer to let people decide for themselves. Brooke

When the Lord designs and fabricates the coverlet, nothing else could, or would, take the credit. What a lovely, inspired piece.
Thanks for sharing Brooke,
will you make one 'small' mistake someday so I can gleefully find it?
Love, Carolyn

Carolyn, thank you so much for the laugh and the review. I have a very anal personality about checking for errors. Before I post I check what I've written out several times. I make errors, but I work really hard to make sure I notice them and fix them before somebody else does. I read some posts where people have made multiple glaring typos and I think to myself, here is a person way less anal than I am. LOL :-) Brooke

Brooke,
Atmosphere is full of vivid and delightful descriptions.
The theme was well chosen and it flowed nicely throughout
the poem. Descriptive picture.
It is completely error free.
I look forward to seeing you again.
Love you,
Oatmeal

Comment from Janet Foor
It is a stunning photo and excellent presentation to this one Brooke. Great abab rhyme and enjambment to give your words a smooth flow. Loved the message, the mystery and ending with the question to the reader. Delightful. I still think Tom should allow more sixes as this one certainly is six quality and I can't believe I'm out on a Tuesday.
Blessings

A beautifully penned poem Brooke, such sublime imagery you have projected in this descriptively expressive, articulate poem, there is a great flow and continuity in the narrative, I loved the purity with which the poem is berthed! This rhyming method sometimes stumbles, but yours did not, I loved it, good abab rhyming, even meter! Well done blessings, Roy.
