I like your poem very much, tomprato. Your obvious talent with visuals is quite apparent in this offering. I like the subject very much - drink sauvignon blanc's year 'round.
You're off to a great start with this poem. Welcome aboard! Kind regards, Bev

This is a very pretty image painted in words, with some of my favorite elements... the Wedgwood white is such a clear image. It doesn't need a piece of art to accompany!

Thanks, Terry. Yes, this is one of the few pieces on FS which is not accompanied by a picture or photo.

Very nice indeed. I actually have a vision in my head and a glass of Shiraz in my hand. Thanks so much for the reminder. Keri

I am glad for the author notes on this one. Since I am not a wine drinker, let alone connoisseur, the nuances here would have escaped me completely--and that would have been a shame.

This works really well and accomplished what you set out to do. I enjoyed the analysis which enriched the spare style of haiku poetry.

Thanks, kintesiegel. Haiku poetry is very 'spare'. Within a few words you try to create an image or a feeling or both.

I sampled some sweet green grapes yesterday. They were smaller than most that are found in the supermarkets. I am sure they would have made a tasty wine. Looks like you know how to appreciate the best. Good luck in the competition.

Welcome to fanstory. I enjoyed your haiku and the explanation. In just a few words you have brought an image to mind of art, elegance, and good taste. That's quite a feat for such a little poem. ann
