This poem is just what I needed today,
as we are grieving the loss of a family
cat. That memory box of blue-sky days
is just what I need to get lost in right
now. Thank you for this wonderful poem
of hope and lighter days! Carolyn

You blue skies were just what I needed to read about this morning.
Life's storm clouds have gathered and I needed to be reminded of sunnier times.
Especially liked:I find my box of memories
wherein my blue sky days are stored
and play them over one by one
till clouds give way to warming sun
Am reaching for my own box with one hand as I type this with the other.
Good morning. And thank you for posting this ...I needed it.

Beautiful poem and very nicely presented with the perfect picture. I like your message too, holding good memories to fill in on bad days. Well done.

Hey brooke,
Blue sky days. I like that phrase! I really love this one & definitely relate to it. I've gotta remember my blue sky days.
Ya got perfect iambic tetrameter, but a few near rhymes. However, they don't detract at all from the poem. And the picture you chose is just beautiful.
Thank you so much for sharing how to get rid of the doldrums with us!

A very lovely and soothing read. We should all own such a "box" for those rainy days. A smooth and easy read. Very nice presentation...love the picture you chose to accompany the work. Great job on this one. Hugs and smiles, Susanne

This sounds like a wonderful way to pass those gray days. Everyone needs a box of blue sky memories. I like rainy days because those are the times that I get nostalgic and do spend time remembering the happy day. All my pictures are stored on the computer so that is where my box of blue sky day is located. I like your poem and the beautiful art work you chose.

How can anything be wrong with this poem I mean. My most favorite lie in this poem is
till clouds give way to warming sun. The clouds do give away to make the sun warm up the place. The only thing that can warm up the earth is the sun.

Brooke,
I enjoyed this poem. Reminded me of "looking on the bright side of life", finding the rainbow in the storm. Reminiscing happier days and memories stored is a great way to deal with a dreary, cloudy day. Better than drowning sorrows is to appreciate good in the past and take hope away for the future!
Beautifully presented and well-written.
Thank-you for sharing this with me.

Gray cloud days do seem to be a good time to reflect on blue sky days. Why not... it's raining anyway. I thought that this poem would add to much cheer to someone feeling a little down. A pick-me-upper for sure. Something to place on the wall at the shelter where you volunteer, perhaps. Rose.
