Thanks for the notes, since I wasn't familiar with the expression "cats paws"--maybe it's more of an east coast label. I enjoyed the images your 5-7-5 painted and the abundant alliteration you employed

Well, I learned something I didn't know from a lovely little haiku! Now I'll have to see if I can find some pictures of this phenomenon. Thanks for sharing this with us!

Thanks - it's just the little ripple waves, nothing fancy. Brooke :-)

You are doing a wonderful job with these and also with educating us about so many terms I knew nothing about. Love this one also. Thanks, Jeanette

A very nice haiku. Thanks to your author notes- I learned a new term- "cat's paws."
I think the syllable count for "preferred" is 3, If so, the last line has 6 syllables instead of 5.
Sorry, If I am wrong.

The imagery teases me into wanting the sand between my toes and the waves washing over my feet! Especially since it's cold here in Ohio! Well done.

this morning when I left my apartment near Philly, it wasn't 20 degrees yet, so I know exactly what you mean!!! Thanks, Brooke :-)

Without your note, I was about to skip on without reviewing. I was at sea, so to speak, with the meaning of the Haiku. Slainte, rhymer1

I love a gentle breeze on a warm day. Not so much that it makes you cold, or blows dirt in your face but just enough to ruffle the hair a bit. We have lakes around here, so they get the same gentle waves at times. I've also seen waves that were well over four feet on them. Sunk two boats that day. I prefer the gentle breeze. ;)

Yeah, the boat-sinking waves are not my favorites either!! Thanks so much for sharing your lake experience with me and for your kind review, Brooke :-)
