good evening, brooke. i enjoyed your haiku about silhoutted trees, and what a scenic picture to accompany it. 'curtain call' may sound a bit cliche, but it's not usually applied to sun. works great here.

This is really nice and seems to flow easily. I think the words and the imagery painted matches the photo beautifully. Nicely done.

Hi Pearly One,
Lovely haiku. The idea of the trees curtsying by the creek creates a wonderful mind picture. The photo goes so well with your lovely poem. Great haiku.

This is one of my favorite scenes from the lake beside me. The reflections of the trees in the water. Take a curtsy-The sun's last curtain call. As picturesque as the real imagages. nice haiku. Jean

The sun sets over a peaceful scene of trees and water. This is very well written with very good imagery and descriptive scheme.

Brooke, how can words be beautiful, while at the same time put forward a picure or idea? I love the "curtsy by the creek"; "curtain call". Even "silhouetted" feels lovely. Hey, I must be falling in love with words all over again! Impressive haiku, gives a soothing feeling.

This was great! I liked the similarity of the words curtsy and curtain, which linked the concluding line with the visual. Excellent photo creates a perfect backdrop. Wonderful job

Thank you, Diane. You may be the only person to note the curtsy/curtain pairing - thank you! Brooke :-)

Brooke,
This is an excellent, imaginative haiku. I've never thought of nature taking a curtain call as the sun sets, but it's a good concept. I found nothing here to criticize.
