Oh, what little death is this... it makes me first think of someone experiencing a seizure. Or perhaps someone in the throes of a tremendous pain, a condition of self. Thank you for sharing.

Brings back unpleasant memories of my own experience. Totally ignoring the signs until the limit is pushed too far. Several heart attacks and 3 stents later, I am very lucky to be able to live to tell. Good job.

That's a richly dark persona you're trying to get across. There's a hint of a definite behavior pattern that progressively worsens his/her condition, bringing him/her closer to death.
With free verse, I feel you have to compensate for the lax form (no meter or rhyme pattern) with a unique structure (how the poem looks on the page) and/or a special rhythm. This poem lacks these attributes, as well as compelling imagery. It's loaded with mental and physical action, which can be dull, and is without compelling imagery.
