I did enjoy your deep and meaningful risotto; the colours were wonderful and really made your poem stronger. Artwork helps a lot. The Aboriginal people believe the spirits live inside the stones - therefore they are sacred, caves with paintings going back 2,000yrs are so precious. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on every living creature including stones.

Thanks for sharing the way the beliefs of the Aborigines work so well with what this poem says, Kay - glad you enjoyed :-) Brooke

ohHH I like this! such a wonderful read- so smooth and flowing, peaceful and serene like the imagery you evoke yet possessing a stone-like strength as well...
I immediately thought of this poem as a reference to Christ the solid rock, our refuge.. I don't know if you intended it that way but I think it fits. Great poem, Brooke!!!

Michael, I allowed for that to be an interpretation without its being the only thing people could read - I am getting a particularly positive response to this poem - need to figure out how to clone it. :-) Thanks so much. Brooke

Good Evening Brooke,
what you have written in your rispetto poem, reminds me of a passage from the Bible
A time to throw away stones, And a time to gather stones together;
--Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8
PS Just to let you know I won't be reviewing for a couple or more months. I have been told I must take a break and take care of my health.

This is a really good one Brooke. The rhyme and meter are, of course, perfect. But the comparison of soft to hard and the imagery used to make the point of the poem, was all brilliantly done.
Very nice!

Lee, I am really pleased with the response to today's poem - I need to figure out how to write like this every day. :-) My son and his wife signed a lease in Henderson today, so soon you won't be the only one I know who lives in Nevada. :-) Thanks, Brooke

You're welcome Brook. We Nevadans are an odd lot. He'll never be the same, Mom - LOL

A VERY GOOD PIECE. I BELIEVE WE ARE ALL STRONGER THAN WE KNOW. IT IS JUST WE NEED THE RIGHT SITUATION TO BRING OUT THAT STEEL AND STONE.

Perfection. You've used the form to contrast the two sides of being at peace -- the soft gauzy go with the flow easiness and the strength of being true to oneself -- but how beautifully you have presented it. May I paste it to my mirror? D
