A tale of the guff...beautifully written. Well chosen form of style and meter...gives you feeling of going around and around. This was a pleasure to read and contemplate...I pray that my death brings such beauty back into the world. Many blessings.

Ah. This I can relate to; Father's words to me were "when a man dies, a child cries." I loved this poem, speaks volumes of the comings and goings of our 'earthly suitcases' we pick one up and when it is worn out, we move out, go home and pick another new one to inhabit. Thank you my friend. Great mate, Woof!

Dad was a self-taught man and what he missed out on, he was determined to teach me; I didn't realise when I was young, sure do now. Love, K.

Hello Brooke, I simply love this poem. Of course it is in perfect rhyme and rhythm but it delivers a very powerful message as well. The cycle of life is continuous every hour of every day and your poem tells that story in a most honest and poignant way. Congratulations on an excellent write. Best regards, Warren

Brooke,
I enjoyed both your poem and your author
notes. It must have been very difficult for
you to loose your Mom at such a young age.
I found your poem to have much depth and to
be exceptionally well written.

Dear Brooke, This poem should be scribed on vellum, folded, and kept in a gold box. It is that precious. I've read it about five times and shared it with a friend. It is perfect in every way. Mary

Brooke, This is so lovely it has to be another six. I've often thought of this and heard it expressed in different ways - but never before as beautifully as this. If I am blessed with consciousness in my last moments, I will think of a lark singing and a baby born. What a lovely way to leave this life. Kelly

Hello Brooke.
You have eloquently expressed thoughts that have idled in my mind at one time or another. We must make way for others to have their chance. Yet, one gets a kind of hollow feeling to think that the world will go on without one just the same. Your tightly knitted lines don't leave much room for playing any games with meaning here. It's only too clear. An insightful and poignant write.

I wish I could write such flowing stanzas in almost any form, the way you do. :))

I also believe in the cycle of life. My daughter was born not one year before my mom passed away. Only I wrote about it in prose while you express yours through this soothing rispetto. The way the hands of God work is indeed wonderful, right? The first line is so lovely in its own way:
"The day I die love's blush will bloom"

Life is eternal in a way. Life always turns anew. We lose but we gain in the best possible ways. I really enjoyed this one. The circle of life prevails.
