This seems to be a favorite subject of yours. I love the idea that God has balanced nature so well, with creatures working together in a symbiotic relationship to perpetuate life. Wonderfully crafted with great rhymes, nice flow, perfect imagery. Great job.

I love watching these lil critters and I've always wondered how they remembered where they buried their stash. We have one oak tree and it's so much fun to watch them stuff the acorns into their cheeks and run off to bury them over and over. Wonderful poem, Brooke!

A very delightful easy to read poem with great verbiage and an easy flowing meter that leaves a lilt to the rhyme. I really liked this one Brooke, even the picture.. no nits. Lora

Thank you for the lesson in symbiosis. It's amazing how dependent species can be one one another for survival. I enjoyed your poem's rhyme and alliteration. I especially liked the fresh "lost kernels." I think your poem would make a delightful book for children with Beatrix Potter-type illustrations.

I am glad that the trees do grow from these acorns but, I am happier to know that the squirrel finds most of the buried acorns.I love to watch squirrels and think they are cute, entertaining and wonderful to have. This is a very delightful poem. Tony

I like the ending of this poem. The poem also has good rhythm, rhyme, and flow. I don't think any revisions are needed.
Nice job!

Your poem reminded me of the Chipmunks - Chip and Dale. I liked your lighthearted poem that told a story and poor old squirrel missed out on his tucker. Thanks for making me smile today.

Ah, poor thing his acorn grew into a tree. Which will produce more acorns. A nature at it's finest, where one being relies on another. Nice job!

Yep, in the end the disappointed squirrel really gets a whole new supply of food, or at least his great great great great grandchildren do! LOL :-) Thanks, Brooke
