You are a bottomless well of words, especially amazing flower names! This has the tone of a carnival for me, with all the colours and sounds. Will this be in your flower series or are you starting one just for unusual flower names? :)

Adele, I don't know yet exactly how I'm grouping the flower poems, though I do now have a half dozen or so of the poems that use flower names like this :-) Thank you. Brooke :-)

Morning, Brooke.
The only 'Kalieohpee' I was aware of was when drunken bar-goers stood up on stage and wailed along to their favoroute songs. LMAO!
'melodic and mellifluous' - great alliteration, but I refuse to stretch for the dictionary. ;-)
Great message in to have a good time for the moment and worry tomorrow.
Best wishes, Ray xx

Gee, Ray, I guess it's not surprising that that is NOT my association with the word. LOL You do know that one can look up any old word at all in online dictionaries with no stretching involved at all? LOL Good morning, dear friend - though why I am up so early is beyond me. Thanks, Ray. Brooke

I found that out recently, Brooke.
Mind you, I need to open the dictionary at least once a year to stop the dust building up on top. I often get some nice surprises, too. I found my glasses and a four-pack in it once. ;-0 xoxo

I would give almost anything to find out how much of what you say has any resemblance to the real you and how much is a persona you have carefully cultivated. LOL

I've never been 'careful' in my life. That's why I have ten kids. Mind you, I've only had sex ten times, and all my kids are in their 70's. xoxo

Brooke,
This is just magically delightful! Your presentation is very vibrant artistically and in words. The use of flower names is a brilliant idea. You are such a flower lover. You must have a garden. If you don't you need one, as you know your flowers.
Just Beautiful,
BellaSpirit

I remember that all roundabouts in my childhood seemed magical. You've caught the undulating motion and music of a carousel here, Brooke. Peter

You are on a roll! No pun intended. What a fun poem. I love carousels and have just learned they can be call round abouts. I'll have to look up the flowers. I can see a book with the flowers illustrated. It would be a great teaching tool. (sorry. teacher. I can't help it)

Heh he Brooke,
I have not read any of you reviews on this yet, but if there are any fellow Brits, I an sure they will mention the classic and famous Magic Roundabout on Childrens BBC many years ago (I think it was French with English voices but it was brilliant). I can recall a few characters, Dylan the sleepy (stoned?) rabbit. I can't remember the girls name. But Zebidee would be proud of you LOL.
I think you have captured riding on these machines very well recall them as a kid but even then they were electric powered. There is a steam museun near my Brother's house and they run a genuine stean driven one -- great fun.
Best to you
Keith

I had to look up the show - I had never heard of it but from the description, it sounds delightful - magic roundabout, until right now, was only a name for a flower to me. It just seemed natural when I heard the word to think of a carousel.
Thanks so much, Keith. Brooke :-)
