This is excellent and I needed to read one of your poems that tells the imformation, the structure, and the images of everything I love to hear. thank you.

Great poem. So true that we have no guarantees and even if we could see into the future would we want to know it all. Then we would not be free to do as we should. We would focus on the bad. Thanks, Jeanette

Ha! Brooke, way to tell it! I would not want a crystal ball at all. It would be surely abused by the masses if we could know the future. God knows what He is doing, thankfully.

    I must admit it would be tempting from time to time, but yes, I would do my best always to resist using it :-) thank you again! Brooke :-)

Interesting image selection. I pictured a line chart or a bar graph as I read through. Good presentation and color scheme. Good use of rhythm and rhyme. The lines flow well aloud. (Yes, I really read it out loud. Poetry is better that way.) Excellent Job.

Sometimes I truly thinkit is better if we do not know what will come to pass. Tragedy and illness is easier to take in small (and sometimes not-so-small) doses. The human soul is durable but not beyond breaking. This is a very thought-provoking poem you have penned. Excellent. BLessings, Linda

    Linda, I appreciate that you got some meaning from this - yes, I don't know what I would do if I knew now when my sister is going to die or if my daughter is going to have her heart broken - best to learn about each thing as it happens.
    Thank you, Brooke :-)

Well, this is certainly food for thought! You have me wondering too what would I do if I had life's chart.
Very original. You should have made this a contest.
Nice work.

when I say this title, it gave me a chuckle so I had to come and see; good choice of artwork;

I find sonnet's to have such gentle energy;

now this:

"
And if such a chart were within my grasp,
would I truly want to extend my hand,
to hold my future secure in my clasp,
to know which days dismal and which ones grand?"

I cannot resist commenting on it lol. I am an astrologer; do not consider myself a "fortune teller" at all; and do not engage in "parlor games" to entertain others; :-)

But what I discovered through a life long study is that we are actually born with a set of instructions; our natal birthchart is as unique to each as a set of fingerprints :-)

I believe there would be way less suicides in the world if someone could know "okay, this period, you will feel down" that energy will change after a month, 3 months, or whatever; but it will change (and it does); people do themselves in because they do not understand that what goes down - will come back up - and vice versa; "no it's not a good time to sign that contract or get married or buy that car" better to wait till such and such; do they listen; some do :-) The Wise Men followed a star.

Of course this is well written; lovely both in presentation and choice of color too :- no corrections. Do I agree with most of what is written here? sure I do :-) Thank you my dear, creative, fanstory friend for the opportunity to think today :-)

    You are welcome Dear Brooke, if you have questions, feel free to send me a priv message :-) I'll tell you about what happened when I told my grandmother at age 25, "I'm going to study astrology" and she replied "Oh My God! You're going straight to hell!" :-) You are,as always welcome for the review :-) Tricia

what an amazing message, yet do you mean i should accept my depression and use it for what it is worth? its so hard to live a full life with this condition. your words give me hope, and hope is all i have at the moment

    my older sister has lived with depression for 50 years, and I would never ask her to just live with it. I would hope you would live each day, good or bad, and whilst you're living, fight the good fight to find your way out of depression. My ex-husband, now deceased, was an amazingly talented photographer and writer, and it broke my heart to see his depression chip away at his desire to use his talent. I commend you for using your talent. I wish you well. Peace, Brooke

yet another masterpiece. You had a message to deliver, and you did it with style.

Who of us has not at sometime wished to know what the future holds, so that we might alter our destiny or hide away. If this is the new form of sonnet then I could really aspire to trying one myself - your works are an inspiration
