I love turtles, they seem so generally unflappable, perhaps it is their understanding that hurrying and worrying are counterproductive. Thanks for a fun poem!

Your description is so clever, making our friend come alive.
He reminds me of the ones who are on the commerical for slow internet hook up.... moseying along, taking his time, enjoying the journey.
Very well done.

Your work and your vocabulary is priceless as is your imagination. You manage to get us to fall for all of these sometimes not too friendly looking animals and we all end up thinking how cute they are. Excellent as usual Kay

Another lovely nature poem. Great vocabulary words used in this piece. Clever phrases, " Quick response? Some other time." Great job. No suggestions..

Quick response?
Someother time. ...this is funny.
I took a picture of a snapping turtle outside my home, by the side of the road. When my neighbor picked it up, it reacted fast. lol.
Yes, they do seem to have no cares about getting anywhere fast, do they.
A very descriptive piece.

Those final lines, "yielding / yestermorning's zest," make be glad to not be a tortoise -- somethings I refuse to yield! LOL Another good and comical job! Thanks! Gerry

Hi adewpearl, Yes, it's me again. Once more your talent amazes me. Not a nit to pick. I wouldn't change a thing. Oops! this is not a nit, but in line 3, so you think edge should be edges?

Your poem made me smile. How true some
of us don't know how to relax. On the other
hand the poor turtle can't move any faster! LOL
I love the words you so cleverly used.
Your poem was entertaining, nothing to change.
Thank you for the smile. Ana

Aha, one of my favorits pet friends!LOL why the hurry, rush rush rush. Laid back a little bit makes you see things better, have time to re-consider, well, and time to lose some timeLOL. Very entertaining little poem. Had to look up a few words.
