Quite honestly, I never knew Joseph Kennedy to be a poet. I'm a Robert Frost and E. E. Cummings fan all day long. Thank you for sharing him and his poetic roots in New England. Marvelous offering, my friend.
Sending you my best today as always,
Sal XOs

Dear Sally, thank you so much for your lovely review and thoughts, greatly appreciated! I might have confused with my quote by JFK but this is actually a poem about Robert Frost. I'm delighted you enjoyed. Take care Debbie

I grew up reading Robert Frost.
I still have my very first ~ old first children book of poetry written by him.
    You are so welcome Debbie...
There are so many Debbies on here... I need to find a way to know who is who...

A fine well written poem Debbie, fine rhymes and metre and of course I know who this is, but I won't spoil the surprise here for others. A very talented write and well deserving of six stars. You brought him to life here with your in-depth study of his character, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Dolly, thank you so much for this exceptional review. I'm absolutely delighted you enjoyed and identified him. Sadly, his identity has been mired in a bit of confusion:( Take care Debbie x

Oh bugger, I'm running out of sixes already but this is the best thing you've written since I joined, better than the Thomas one, so I cannot be churlish. It is more mature in its approach and I particularly like the Frosty tone. (Ha! See what I did there?) Your language is more considered than ever, I think, and the references meld subtly into the whole. Well done.

Thank you so much, John! It was hard because he was so complex - not quite the happy-go-lucky guy I'd thought he was. And I nearly gave up. As ever, your thoughts are particularly special! Debbie x

No kudos for getting the poet? Not even two weeks in a cottage in Devon? Or a food-mixer? Damn.

Nah just the thrill of you usurping my position and Dolly's in the review rankings:)
