hi there, you've written the amount of words that is required for the contest. I can understand everything up to a point. Why do you feel unhappy when thinking of God? Sorry. I'm a non believer so that's probably why I don't get it. Ulla:)

Very effective use of the designated words, author.

And yet, it doesn't seem forced when all pieced together.

Good job and I wish you good luck in the contest, Alcreator.

:) Bob

There is comfort in your words. I like the line about the animals, it is so true, they are no unhappy. You have a unique poetic structure that captures the reader's attention and draws her into your poem. You have a strong use of words that is faith based.

This poem, God's Love, has all the words and the four-line framework which helps to project the stated impression of the titled objective. Nice.

This is good reminder that God loves each and every one of us... and man, is the only creature that has days where he is unhappy... animals are happy just to 'be' -- and can teach us allot about acceptance, perseverance and their ability to make do with what they have --- man, is another story, for another time..

Confusing to me.

"In all seasons, under the open sky

Languageless animals are not unhappy"

Firstly, Languageless is not a real word, though language is fluid and despite this, it is now being included in online dictionaries. Either way, that doesn't concern me and I haven't considered it in my rating. It's use to describe animals, though also not concerning, is a bit false. Nearly all species have some form of language. No, what concerns me is the 'not unhappy.' It strikes me as a double negative, though that too is forgivable.

"Methinks I am unhappy today"

This is why the 'not unhappy' bothers me. because you use 'unhappy' to describe yourself. It shouldn't and while I would have worded it differently, as you said, this is your style and I can't fault you on that.

"God loves man every day"

Here is where you lost me. Four lines, the first two describe 'not unhappy' animals, the third describes an 'unhappy' you and the forth is a blank statement, with no bearing on the first three line nor they on the last. I don't understand why you're 'unhappy,' why the animals are 'not unhappy' or what any of that has to do with God loving man.

If anything it would seem God loves the animals more, though the only indication of that is the moods of animals verses the mood of a man.

Regardless, keep writing, don't let my confusion drag you down and good luck in the future!

I love the word methinks...sounds so Shakespearean..
God loves man everyday...languageless animals are not unhappy
We have language and sometimes are unhappy....
So is language the culprit?
God bless

This is beautifully done. I wish I had 6 stars left to give. You did very well with the parameters of this contest! Creative and could be marketable on a poster in my personal opinion. Good luck! Great Job!
