I gave this a six because I think it deserves every one of the stars. Your words are so well-chosen, flow beautifully, and give a new insight to 1 Corinthians 13:13 - one of my favourite chapters in the Bible. I actually got goosebumps when I read this. I loved it, and the artwork was a perfect choice. This poem deserves first place in the contest.

My Pleasure!
Comment from Gloria ....
Excellent testament to faith, author. It's not easy to admit one isn't perfect, even though it seems the politically correct thing to do these days. It's better to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission.
Strong meter and rhymes, and I wish you all the best in the contest.

I love this poem. It is obviously written by someone who knows where to find all three virtues, and also someone who knows how to write a perfectly metered and rhymed poem. Thank you for sharing this. I certainly enjoyed reading it.

I think your choice reflects my own. Love is certainly a fine state of affairs that can be drawn upon to repair obstacles that come into our path. Beautiful poetry simply said.

This is a very fine poem for the contest
I'm a little surprised that Corinthians
says love is greater than faith
All three are great
Some might say faith and love are synonyms
But the sum is greater when all three combine
Well done
With an excellent picture to match
Good luck in the contest

-Interesting artwork.
-Thank you for the author notes.
-Very nicely written poem.
-I like how you take each virtue stanza by stanza building to the last one.
-Good use of rhyme as well as description.
-I like the beginning,
"If virtue could supplant my faults
just which one would I choose"
-Excellent conclusion:
"for love and hope combined with faith,
rebuilds a broken wall."
