This is a great way to give remembrance.
I won't pretend to begin to understand the piece, nor your loss.
Just a thought, -"Trees stand hand and hand..." the more common phrasing is "hand IN hand", but it is your work, so... that's your choice.

Hmm, you know I kind of do like that. I was thinking that phrase might be overused. But you think it sounds better? Hand and hand, is it awkward?
