Hi brooke,
Kind of neat that this poem instills the Creator in everything. In all the beauty all around, that in itself acting as an acknowledgment in things big and small, from the stars to the simple enjoyment of jelly. This poem effectively employs the baited string (at least I call it the baited string, where it starts the thought, and continues the thought with the punchline at the end of the string, but you aren't allowed to catch the end of the string until the end, which keeps you moving through the poem all the way to the end, without allowing you to lose track of the string. (I tend to get sad when I lose track of the string before the end when it seems the poem is using the baited string, but that didn't happen here)
You are a plethora of poems, But sometimes there's only so many ways to say this was enjoyable to read. At least the reasons are different, each new arrangement to ping a thought.

Brooke,
I think that you did a most excellent job
on your faith poem and entry! It seems like
you have added various subjects from your other
fine poems here in this one. Very interesting.
(waves, tides, tangerine, buttercup...)
I liked your grateful and thankful ending as
well:
"I ask that I might live to serve,
a life of gratitude my prayer"
I also the the form that you have used in this
poem.
Sincerely,
Linda

Gorgeous poem Brooke and I find I am finally able to give you a six! Yeah! The art work is stunning and I love the approach you took in this Faith contest entry. Great quatrains with lovely rhyme in the second and 4th lines. What I appreciated most, however, is the images you chose to demonstrate God's gifts to all of us. Beautiful...Sue

Brooke, such a lovely and inspirational piece for the "Faith" contest. Great rhythm and rhyme and the imagery is awesome. Absolutely love the second verse, the mention of "mason jars" made me remember my great grandmother...she used to do everything natural. A great entry! Hugs and smiles, Susanne

Thank you, Susanne, for this most gracious and generous review of my faith poem :-) This one holds great meaning for me, so your response is especially appreciated :-) My oldest sister and her daughter still make preserves in mason jars - they're the ones with the family's domestic genes. LOL

Hi Brooke,
Outstanding poem of faith and how I wish, I were allowed to give you those 6 stars. It is a lovely poem and I especially liked those last two stanzas where you speak of a mother's dream and the life of gratitude my prayer.
Best wishes with the contest and thank you for sharing.

Wonderful job writing this poem. It's nice to remember that God is the Creator of all and you reminded us in a very nicely flowing easy to read poem. Good luck with the contest.

Brooke,
I so want to give your exceptional poem a six but the system only allow me to giver you five. Another beautifully written poem. Your well crafted poem is an awesome entry in the faith contest. Lovely art work and presentation. Outstanding imagery, writing and rhyme. The stanza I loved the best:
Creator of the buttercup
reflecting gold from sunlight's gleam,
the possibility of peace
still held within each mother's dream
creatively you described God and defined poetically how he graced Mother Earth and nature. Any poet who can write about tangerine and flowers is a winner in my book. Keep up the stellar writing. . .Melissa!
