What a cute little poem. I wonder what all the other creatures wonder, or if they even do. I loved this little poem. It was truly lovely.

Hi adewpearl ... I have all the answers!!! Of course they know, plants do have a soul, I am sure of it. I enjoyed another one of your delightful nature poems and this one has of course my dutch-ness amongst it!!! Lovely and well presented as always. I never find better words or any faults in your work, so I needn't cover that area. Marion.

This clever and musical poem must surely win you great acclaim. Whether the flowers regard you or not, Rama, li'l sis, suggests that all living things, animate or not, are in disguise, because we all share part of God's nature. Let's have ever more of your whimsy, Brooke. Peter

Thank you, Peter. I'm so glad you enjoyed the whimsy. I'm just home from my sister Bobbe's, and it is nice to read a review from you upon my return :-) Brooke

Curious tulips?
I dunno...
Don't they just
soak Sun and grow?
Tulips "like" rich soil
and "flourish" in rain
but don't think about you
'cuz they got no brain!
I love the rhythm
and the rhymes,
I appreciate the flow
but intellectual tulips?
Brooke, that far
I can not go.
Sometimes, you just crack me up, my talented friend! :>)
Excellent form, diction, images, all the technical stuff is spot on...but

I did not actually mean it. It's just kinda whimsical. I'm not really prepared to defend a thesis on the intellect of tulips. LOL Thank you for your fun review :-) Brooke

I know it was whimsical and rather charming too...but for some reason it got me giggling and it all went downhill from there...You are a good sport for putting up with me.

You know I always thought this way about animals. In particular my dog. Does she worry about me as much as I worry about her. You have a nack with your poems of getting (as Hercule Perot would say) "the gray matter working."
I guess we won't know until the after live. Well you'll know anyway. All I'll know is what intense heat feels like.
LOL. I bow to your talent Ms. Brooke. (yellow bow, I bow to you. Just another reason somebody needs an ass whoop'in.)
Happy thoughts

Thanks, Tony - that is a great great compliment to say I make people think - it is one of my major goals, so I really appreciate your saying that :-) I don't believe in hell, but even if I did, I think you wouldn't be heading there, my friend :-) Brooke

Hi Brooke....this poem might be whimsical but I found it to be quite profound. My friends laugh at me because I talk to my plants but they always ask me what I feed them as they are so beautiful. I don't feed them at all....just give them a drink and some soothing words! Love this little ditty....blessings....chey

I know lots of people who talk to plants. I'm so glad you are on the right wavelength for this :-) Thank you, Brooke :-)

This is a lovely poem, Brooke, although I have to say that none of your poetry will ever quite match up to the Venus de Milo! Lovely flow and musical, unforced rhymes. Tulips or penises...hmmmm. lol

Brooke,
This is an excellent poem, without any faults that I could find. The picture you borrowed from Fan Art Review is perfect for the poem. Sometimes, I wonder the same things - what are the big trees thinking?

I believe that they do, even if that centience isn't the same as ours. I enjoyed this poem and how it was written. One thing is for sure, they know when they don't get rain and it is neat how they move towards the sunlight.

I think this is a very cute little poem.
The thought of the flowers contemplating our lives is very interesting indeed :-)
Nice art to go with the poem too, good color choices also.
