Hi Brooke...such a lovely tribute to the violet. I like the word 'verdant' but don't see it used too often...it is very descriptive here. For only three lines your imagery is wonderful....well done....blessings....chey

Brooke...
These lovely flowers grew wild in the fields on either side of the creek when I was growing up. We would make paper baskets and put the violets in them, leaving them on the neighbor's door.
Thanks for the memory! Carol C

Viva violets indeed! One of my favorites because of their vibrant color. Again, as always, a photo that pops off the page and lives up to your gorgeous haiku. It must be wonderful to create this kind of first-class art each day. I envy you.

No tienes que traducir para la profesora:-) You don't have to translate for the teacher heh, heh. I loved the last line. I imagine I am prejudiced toward my second beloved language. Excellent work again.

I love this one, Brooke - purple is my very favourite colour. It is a neat little haiku, flowing well, and painting a clear picture of the subject. I especially like "vibrant purples/viva violets". Beautiful. :)

Violets are my favorite flower, mainly because purple is my favorite color. You've done this lovely flower credit with this wonderfully constructed haiku. I loved all of the 'v' words you used. Viva violets indeed. Thank you for sharing.
Hugs,
Diane

A world in a purple haze
of beauty with violets
sending aromas of sweetness
across the land in this
beautiful hue that can only
have been painted by Mother
Nature.
As always, well done

Very good poem. I enjoyed the little read and the violet visions it evokes.
