Dear Brooke,

Ah, a lovely verse you have penned as you went along. This has superb flow and the scent of flowers carries one down your poetic path. If I had another six it would be yours.

How do you get so many people to review your writings? The most for me is just over a hundred.

Warm regards,

Winslow

Winslow, I have way over 100 people on my fan last, so lots of them review, and I return reviews - if someone reviews me because they saw a banner ad or whatever, even if I never heard of them before, I do a courtesy review - and often that turns someone into a regular reviewer or at least someone who reviews me every time they have a new post up because they know I'll review it after they review me. It's a case of courtesy actually paying off. And I review them even if they only pay 2 cents. The first thing I'll do after I finish this response is go to your portfolio to see if you have anything new posted. I also use banner ads whenever I have earned them - I almost always get hits off them. Thank you for your thoughtful review :) Brooke

Beautiful! You chose a gorgeous piece of artwork from my favorite fanart artist to accent this lovely poem. I loved the sing-song flow of the lines, the rhymes were natural, the imagery was sweet. I especially enjoyed the cute way you played with the words, giving it a playful air. If you aren't published, you should be! Thank you for sharing your amazing talent.

Hello Brooke,

What can I say? I am there walking on that path, resting in that meadow. I saw a picture of my mother sitting in a field of yellow flowers. I was so touched by this picture that I wrote a story to go with it. Anyway, lovely lovely poem.

Peace and enlightenment

I want to come on that path.... it is so lovely, makes me feel peaceful just reading about it.
Your rhymes are strong, your words are beautiful, and the image of that walk, on that day, memorable.

Excellente! My mom would love this poem and I'm going to recommend she reads it. She loves flowers and sewing and she would definitely relate to the imagery and emotion of this. I really liked the line, "May apples nodded modestly..." Great personification! =)

This poem took my breath away! iF I interpreted it correctly this was a path to peace taken by a person dying. I especially loved this verse:

I rested for a little while,
enjoying time alone,
then drawn by need for human warmth,
I asked for guidance home.

Your interpretation is a most interesting one - not what I had in mind, but that's the great thing about poetry - things the poet never thought of are just as fascinating as their original intentions :-) thank you! Brooke

I like the rhyming in this piece the most. Because, for me, this is a very difficult thing for me to do. It gives a special entonnation to this great poem .
