Great story. Great gift. Well written.
Seven acres on Wye Mountain in Arkansas has thousands of daffodils. You ought to see them.
Be nice if Leigh could 'see' his Butterfly among the flowers some day.
Best wishes.

Wayne, I had heard about Wye Mountain. Thank you for your review. Terry.

This is beautiful, Terry. I wish I could leave it at that, because it's everything I want to say. It's a story within a scene, which I like, and the gentle reveal of the original protagonist being Leigh is deftly, emotionally handled.
I loved it.

I found most of this confusing starting with the opening sentence because it led me to believe it was he needing a gift. Then, the subjects changed and I was in San Antone walking with a love but in the end with a son as well, and what of the butterfly at the end. I must be missing somethings.

Tom, there is River Walk in San Antonio. A few hundred miles north in the Town of Flower Mound is a River Walk as well. It Is about three years old. I lived in Flower Mound for over twenty years with my wife, who was a Master Gardener. Thank you for reading. Terry.
