Great little story. I think this is my second review of your material in two days. This contest entry has strong legs and should draw a lot of attention. I looked hard at spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Good job. The sequence of events is logical. I also liked your sentence structure and placement of subject-verbs.

But the real star of this story is the imaginative use of the dogs' point of view. Light and airy, a great read. Thanks for posting. Good luck in the competition.

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing. I post at least one Howie and Bernie story a month. The boys have their own fan club on FanStory. I also sell stories that I write about them to a veterinarian blog.

Your comments about spelling, punctuation, and grammar made me happy. The editing process can be brutal, and it's always nice when someone notices.

I love the way you described Howie & Bernie's jobs--holding down the couch so it won't go anywhere--that is hilarious. The video is sooo cute.
