Wow this is a work of wonder sorry I don't have a six it took me back in time and was utterly amazing. It's amazing how eyes can affect you. Truly the windows of the soul. Beautifully written with gorgeous descriptions. Amazing, I loved it and will be back for more. What a write! Kindest regards Meia.

How sad this is. I'm not clear if she married Randolph anyway, but it's clear who the father was, even if we don't know anything else about him.

What a horrible life it would have been to marry like that. However, many arranged marriages worked out very well. There's no way of telling what's the best way.

Left me hanging, but I'll wait around for the next chapter. Gotta find out who this fabulous man is.

That was especially so for the rich and titled families, the daughters were married off to either wealthy or the best titled names. I like some parts of that age, but not that particular part. Fancy finding out you are being courted just for your bank balance! You will discover more in the next part, promise you that, Yvonne. Thank you, my friend, for another of your lovely reviews. I'm just so pleased you like it. Big hugs. :) sandra xxx

Ah, you teased all through that chapter again... lol

Different times... scandalous.

I was approached by a young man who introduced himself as Randolph Mandeville when he asked me to dance - I don't know here, feels a little off with the 'when he'. Perhaps change this this to who/whom asked me to dance?

I found the days begin to drag - maybe began?

'Gwendolyn shook her head - delete the speech mark from the beginning here.

LOL!! Don't you just love me to bits!! Thank you, G, I'll go and sort those out. I take it you will want to read the next part ... it might reveal who the daddy is ... or not. Continued .... LOL! This is such fun. Thanks my friend. :) Sandra xxx

This chapter/post was absolutely enthralling, Sandra. I was so consumed with Gwendolyn's narrative that I couldn't breath regularly. Especially after the artwork you posted with the story - I love that pompous, opulent period when etiquette mattered and men and women had such clearcut (but vainly romantic) regard towards each other.

Okay, Gwendolyn probably didn't quite experience her engagement and all that followed as romantic, but it still fascinated me to listen to how you made her tell it, and made Veronica react to it.

Bravo, my talented friend.

Aww, thank you so much, my friend. That is so nice of you to say that. I don't know, I'm reading your first book, (nearly finished and will put a review on Amazon) and will buy the next one. But, I just read the warning on your latest post and think to hell with it, I have to read this now. Will it spoil things for me if I do? I love reading book series. Big hugs, my friend, and thanks again.

    Hello Sandra,

Whether it will ruin your reading pleasure is actually your decision. Usually a book I like a lot, I'd read again and again without the joy getting less. My current post may not ruin the first book you're reading - The Chase - which deals with Roman chasing after Shana. I'm on the third half of the second book - The Capture - where they've just finally got together.

    So, your choice, my friend!

    Warmest,
    Aki
