Indeed, Life goes on. The vital things in life will be shared through the generations. Perfection we may never achieve, but all we need to strive and work at improving life will endure.
Thanks for sharing!

Aw, what a stunning last line, Brooke! This is so sweet, simple, and just moving somehow. I love stars too, and miss the brilliant country night skies. Giddy

I REALLY LIKE YOUR PRESENTATION. I LIKE POEMS ABOUT ASTRONOMY, AND THIS ONE IS VERY GOOD. I LIKE THE UNUSUAL PICTURE. I LIKE THE WAY YOU STATE THAT HOW OTHER STARS REMAIN AFTER SOME TOOK THEIR FINAL CURTAIN CALL. GOOD JOB AND THANKS FOR SHARING. (THIS IS NOT MY COMPUTER--SORRY FOR THE ALL CAPS)

Beautiful. Again, I loved the alliteration and the descriptive power of this one. I do think that, for very small children, your poems which have identifiable characters may be more well-loved. This is so well-done, though, as all of your poems are.

I must admit, I have never witnessed a falling star, nor a shooting star. Perhaps I should spend a warm summer's evening watching, huh? Good one, Brooke.

Miss Sally, how very sad! I love nothing in nature more than spotting a falling star, unless, of course, being treated to a meteor shower - the weather guy on the news always alerts folks to when one of those is coming :-) Thanks so much for your review, my friend :-) Brooke

Hi Brooke,
This one made me smile. Loved the simplicity of this thought for it seems that so many stars fall and yet the sky is still full of light.
Sawyer will love this one!
Solid meter, rhyme and content, well done.
Best wishes, Bill

When I read your short works, I can't but think of Robert Frost. I like how you take ordinary things that we take for granted and remind us of their splendor.

This is a cute look at what we call falling stars. Of course they aren't really falling but they are spectacular for the brief time they blaze across the sky.
