No better example of this than the words from celebrities that ruin their reputation. Paula Dean is the best current example. But even negative language can have positive effects. Take the time I used the F word in my dental office when he took a patient first who came in after me.

Words have weights and the severity and lightness they convey can actually make or break a person. used wisely, words can create heroes without the deeds and actions. Used inappropriately, the condemnation and defamation on an individual can cause great harm and suffering.
Use words wisely if you want to be wise, is the message.

Hard to challenge this, when I am in total agreement. I believe that we are all responsible for our own fate, just like I believe there are always two sides to every story and somewhere in the middle is the truth. It all goes to perception.While you may not be entirely able to control people, sometimes you can create certain circumstances, to lead them where you want them to go. Well done and in so few words. Thanks for sharing.

This laconic story is certainly quite a delight. The refreshing message at the end is comforting. I particularly enjoy the line; "Wisdom varies from person to person, so is the result in time, people or place."
Sometimes it is troubling to listen to the dull roar of mouth-breathers as Mr. Poe would say, however it is important to remember to maintain balance in both manner and disposition. Great work!

There is a lot of truth in your statements. Words can change the world. Few people really understand the power words can have. Hurtful words can destroy a person's life if they allow it. Words of peace and friendship can turn a situation around. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
