I wondered what happened to this novel. Haven't seen postings for a while. I love the name Tipsy Butler for the Bed & Breakfast but then I love Bed & Breakfast lodging. One question; Who is the Brotherhood? I may have read this before but if so I've forgotten.

Hi, Seaglass. If you are ever in Maine, by all accounts the Tipsy Butler is a great place to stay.

Thanks for the encouraging and very generous review. I appreciate it.

You haven't missed anything... the Brotherhood is just being introduced and will be detailed further in succeeding chapters.

    Thanks again!

What an unsavory character you've depicted in Charles. Obviously, choosing that side of the line has its own consequences. He doesn't seem a very happy fellow.

Mia is the sensitive, delicate one. Sounds like she's going to have quite a struggle on her hands, but she has a couple of allies watching out for her. Getting to know your characters, Bev. Good details about the setting. I'm there, watching it happen. Well done, girl.

Thanks so much, Adrienne. I'm glad that you're okay with the slow unraveling of my characters. I keep coming up with different nuances from the original posts, which has been fun. Glad you're along for support and guidance, my friend.

Writing: I ran out of six since Tom doesn't give us many. But, this deserves a ten. I like the flow of the past with the present. I like how Mia takes a bath and rests with a rosary. Does she also use holy water?

Breakfast sounds great. Let me know what happens next. Congrats on your award!

Thank you so very much, F. I am happy with just your words coupled with the generous excellent rating. You've made my evening.

Mia will have a couple of blessed items in her 'toolbox' as she and the team proceeds with the investigation. I'm Catholic, and I can testify to the power of Mother Mary as well as Jesus in dealing with evil entities.

Thanks again for your encouragement and support!

Writing: My mom has holy water on her table. I use olive oil and biblical oils like lavender, lemongrass, check these out on essestial oils. They are in the Bible. Use the cross, in name of Father, son and holy ghost (spirit), very powerful. The finger of God, when God wrote the laws in Exodus 20. My friend does healing and deliverance. She helped Benny Hin for a while.

I was raised Catholic. God has our family in and out of different churches. I teach youth about Jesus. When you read my stories you know that I honor Jesus.

My aunt Micki was a nun. She said the rosary every night. Ate an apple too. Micki was wonderful. My mom is Agnes. They used to name children after saints.

Nice chatting with you. Glad that you use reality with mystery in your stories. Share your recipe...sounds great!

Hi, Nancy. I really appreciate your recipe for oils. I always wear and carry a cross with me, as well as a relic I got when I visited a holy place in New Mexico. It's a very old adobe Catholic church where many healing have occurred. It's funny you mention your Aunt Micki. I almost became

Hi, Nancy. I had one of those occurrences just now that usually go along with any writing I do about the paranormal. The screen blipped out just as I was talking about how close I came to becoming a nun LoL.
Then I discovered boys and that put the kibosh on that!

Anyway, if you did by chance get some of my message, I just want to reiterate that I appreciate your good advice on the cross and the oils. I do carry a relic from a church in New Mexico where healings have been occurring for decades. One can never have enough of the 'good' stuff when trying to deal with the spirit world.

It was very common in the 50's for parents to name their children after saints. For some reason, my mother decided to buck tradition and named me Beverly! I made up for it by choosing a confirmation name of Andrea.

Great chatting with you, my friend. Thanks so much again for the support.

I don't know if there was a saint Nancy but these boots were made for walking song was popular. Confirmation of Mary so got the saint name. Now we are Presbyterian like Brooke. I look forward to your writings. Thanks for sharing. Chat anytime.

The side effect of an physic event will usually energize those who are involved. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words.

Thanks so much, Charlie. Personally, I find channeling psychic energy to be initially quite draining.

This is really great writing, Bev. I think you are about to be published and I hope a traditional publisher recognizes your talent and ability. This story is interesting and well written. You seem to have a handle on the story as a whole. Well done!

Hi, Drew. Thank you so very much for this very encouraging review. I started this novel three years, but never finished it. I'm finding out that I've learned a lot about better writing techniques in the interim through reviewers and classes :)

I really appreciate both your generosity and support, Drew.

A grin lip up his face. [grin LIT up his face ... although yours was a clever choice.]

An excellent chapter, Bev. There's an electricity of anticipation. Something's gonna happen soon.

Wow a great read. This is the first time I've read your work but I will definitely be back for more. One thing I picked up at the beginning: "Charles balled his fits and". I'm guessing that should read "fists".

I love the ghostly contemplation in the spirit realm at the end of the narration, I love the way you have set your story up at the beginning, with the maniacal carryings on of Charles Bellingham being projected into "God only knows where" great imaginative writing Bev. I have to prepare my mind for this type of reading, very interesting, it's not an area of reading expertise for me, but a great challenge, but your writing is in a unique zone, quite clever! Blessings,Roy,

Hi, Bev.
Sorry for my delay in getting to this chapter. Your characters are excellent as are the visuals and dialogue. I could easily see the room, the claw soak tub and the spirits hovering over Emma's bed as she slept. This is an exciting book one that has taken off so well!

One tiny typo.:)
Grasping a worn... and feel asleep immediately. Change feel to fell. :)

Bye, my friend!

Hi, Rosalyne. Thanks so much for this very generous review and spag suggestion. I am about to begin editing this chapter for re-posting and will be making some changes. So, your suggestions and insights are very helpful. Each chapter will be undergoing edits and, in some cases, a change in the dynamics of the story as I go along. I'll be re-posting the finished products after the edits. You've reminded me I need to make that more clear in my AN's.

Thanks for the great input. I much appreciate you!

    Hugs, Bev

"He's seen some TV shows about ghost hunters and was worried about being made to look stupid in front of millions of people. I assured him that we are not part of a reality series and work privately."

Thank you!!! Stupid shows! ;)

"The disfigured specter of the murdered maid stood beneath the witch's window waiting for acknowledgement, but Mia would not drop her psychic shields and allow communication to flow until she'd had a proper rest."

"...except for the one where the old lady waited."

I'm loving this stuff! :)

Lots of clues quietly given about the area, the people, and out characters. I like how you've craftily placed these items very quietly and not at all obvious. Good job!

Let's see what happens next! ;)

Hi, TS. I range from laughing to swearing when I see some of the crap those people pull on television. The most professional team is the one on SYFY. I have to admit they've influenced my story in a good way. Thanks so much, my friend!
