To me it sounded like a warmup for the Winter Olympics. I really enjoyed this read. I love poems like this and I also enjoy poems about fairies.

hey Brooke
what a great interesting style
the poem itself is excellent with the format and the rhyme
but the expressions used like line 1 verse 3 is really unique and magical appeal
have a smiley day

My question is are these the same fairies that we in the oak tree grove awhile back? I bet they are. I have been searching for them in by my oak trees. I even convinced my husband to plant more. You poem is beautiful.

They well could be the selfsame group, Barbara - and if not, their cousins. LOL Thanks, dear friend. Brooke :-)

This is a delightful excursion into fantasy! I needed a break from reality today - lovely, Brooke. You've outdone yourself with rhythm and alliteration - it's the sort of poem young children could recite with pleasure. :)

You have penned another magical poem about fairies. I can just picture them snuggled around the fire in winter's wonderland. As a child I was given many books on these lovable beings. And these poems always bring back happy memories. Thank you!
such a smooth flowing read that has wonderful imagery and rhyme.
Best wishes,
Malcolm

So much fun, what a beautiful poem. I love MidSummer's Night Dream and this brought me back there. You can just hear the fairies in the wood playing and scheming.
I like these lines:
To find the warmth within its flames,
sweet sprites prance round the brilliant blaze
But really all the poem is fabulous.
