Brooke Beautiful,
I just thought I would let you know, I pick those beautiful milk weed pods; lightly paint them with tempera paints then mix them with pussy willows and put them in a vase.
I Love your hakiu about the beauty of all the wildflowers and even the weeds

Gert, That sounds beautiful - I also love pussy willow - I used it to illustrate my harbingers of spring poem :-) Thanks so much, Brooke :-)

The review Nazi's prevent me from saying only 'well done.' Good syllable count, good content, and a good satori. Write on.

Hullo Adewpearl ....
I am certainly learning about wild-flowers of which I have not heard before. The picture you have at the top is
very good and so too are your descriptive words in this
Haiku presentation.
Thank you for sharing it with us.
With love from ...... Nanette Mary.

I have loved milkweed since my dad and I would go collect it to put in a vase years and years ago. Thank you :-) Brooke

Ah and here is another plant I don't think we have over here in the UK. If the picture is milkweed, then no, we don't have it. You manage to to jsutice to every single wild flower you tackle, Brooke. An outstanding achievement. Great haiku.
Warmest wishes

Kat, Yes, this is a picture of milkweed - they flower in the spring and summer, but this is when I love them most, as pictured, in the fall when gone to seed. Thank you, Brooke :-)

Now, this was a strange looking plant/flower. I don't think I have ever seen one before. With that said, I enjoyed the haiku. Your description helps to explain it.

Laurel, the picture shows it when I love it - in fall when turned to seed - it flowers in summer, and it's nice, but this is when it is gorgeous. Thanks so much, Brooke :-)

Very nice haiku! You are really providing some excellent models of true haiku for those of us who are beginning to explore this genre. Thanks for that! Sue

Sue, believe it or not, not that many months ago I had not written a single one ever in my life and vowed I never would. LOL Thanks so much, Brooke :-)

as you know when I read every one of your poems I can not find enough to say about them, they are excellent and enjoyable, and no revisions and found no errors as always, thank you for sharing.

Ooh, I like that mention of silken and pouring forth--you describe it very well. Another wonderful haiku in your wildflower series!

This is beautiful, Brooke, with artwork to match. I am not famliar with many of these wildflowers. You should come over here and write about the bottlebrush, wattle and so on. I love the idea of the seeds finding freedom. Cheers. :)

I've never heard of those! I would love to do that had I the money :-) Thanks, Brooke

They are unique, of course - quite different from the beauty you've described. I would send you pictures, but it's not the same as seeing something in three dimensions. :)

what an amazing picture, its so beautiful. i love this second line
seeds from silken filaments
