Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

Brooke, an excellent entry for the contest. Wish you the best of luck with this well written acrostic. A smooth flowing piece that carries itself off as a piece of music. Many acrostics are choppy, this one tells a story that with its vivid imagery, wonderful rhyme and rhythmic pattern comes to life. k

I would not write one of those choppy acrostics as I utterly detest them, and for that reason only recently wrote my first acrostic - thanks for seeing the craft in this, which takes hours to achieve and thanks for the most generous rating! Brooke

I feel like if I turn to page 271 in the hymnal, I would find this song under the Christmas section. Beautifully written. Joyful and fits the reason for the season. Good luck in the contest, Brooke. Judy

Fabulous work, Brooke, It seems to sing it's way through the words as a gospel song, I would love to hear it sung. It is bright and cheerful and full of faith and joy, Excellent entry for the contest Kay

I wrote it to the song's 7777 beat, so glad it ends up sounding like a song! Thank you, Brooke

Christmas often sees me singing softly to myself, which is like a shy ant performing tap dance in a cabaret club. Your poem certainly drums up suitably festive images, and I commend the acrostic-ness you've kept to at the same time!

This is an awsome acrostic and with rhyme no less... what a feat that is to accomplish while staying true to the form by telling a story ( rather than just listing as some folks do) and maintaining the theme of the left side. I am really impressed by this one adewpearl. You inspire me to strive to become a better writer. I learn so much from looking at some of your writes. Never stop penning! God Bless, Suzi

Yes, I would never just list - that is why for years and years I hated this form. I am so glad you think I've not written one of those awful things! LOL Thank you, Brooke

This is absolutely awesome and a beautiful christmas cheer for all to receive. There is much peace, joy, love and harmony flowing through this and the imagery that the words paint shows so much praise and worship for the one true living God, Jesus Christ, to whom all glory and honour is deserved to be given, whose mercy, grace and love flows over the world and keeps us blessed in His greatness. I enjoyed this immensely because of the way it drew deep into my heart of hearts the truth of this time to be celebrated rather than the conformed truth where even santa has a place. Jesus is our focus and purpose at this time and it is His gift of birth and life that He has given us that receive around this time. Sadly, mankind tends to look more in the gift given and received on earth than the one given from heaven, hope and salvation.
This is full of so much life and the spirit of joy, love and peace. Well worded and expressed. Thanks for the experience your words created and many blessings to you

You are so right about the true meaning of Christmas often getting lost in department store buying! Thanks for your comments and your thoughtfulness, Brooke

Another one well done! Christmas for me sometimes loses its meaning because I see the true meaning buried in hoarding, materialism, and profit. Reading what you have written melts the callouses around my heart and reminds me of what it is really about.

Well done! One of the reasons I love Christmas is because there is such lovely creative flow all over the place!

This piece flowed beautifully along as the lyrics sang to each upcoming stanza. The rhyme fit perfectly and the imagery was great.

Wonderful acrostic, Brooke. You excelled at making this such a flowing tribute to the season. Love the word 'timpani'. Your Christmas poems have been such a pleasure to read and a true testament to the celebration of the season. Joyce
