Sentenced for "extremism" - that's rich.
This poem is thoughtful, emotional, and it sings when you read it out loud. His words, "It's you who must resist" are more true today than ever.
I still can't believe they forced his plane down so that they might arrest him. Okay, yes, I do believe it.
He's one of the bravest men in the world, especially since he has the will to face the cowards of Russia.

I just think he is such an incredible person and an exception to the rule of his countrymen who seem to feel (understandably to some extent) powerless to resist. On reading about, and extolling his beliefs I read of his exploits with opened eyes. It goes without saying Mr Navalny's courage is not to be equalled. The Russian people are being led down a road which can only lead to the defeat of Russian dominance. I applaud him and his hopes and wish him and other passionate believers only the best.

I have followed Alexei Navalny's travails with interest - he is definitely Putin's nemesis and therefore in grave danger at that despot's evil machinations. I hope he can see freedom and not have to suffer Putin being in control for much longer.
I also hope the Russians can heed his warning: "You, not me, are being frightened and deprived of the will to resist. Putin must not achieve his goal. Do not lose the will to resist." Poems such as yours are important to echo anti-corruption political activism that is crucial for the whole world's future.

I was actually in Berlin when he was in hospital there. I also, incidentally, did my MA on Lovelace and the Cavaliers! Nice to see his most famous line quoted. The only line I don't like is the twentieth. Just the word 'agent' sounds wrong - don't really know why. I'd prefer an adjective like 'foulsome' or something. Still, a wonderful piece of work, brilliantly researched as well.
