An interesting entry, and a thought-provoking conversation. Discussions about free speech, and what it means are good for a democracy, but the topic isn't a black and white, right/wrong proposition. And that's exactly what your entry gets at. When it comes to free speech, one can be right and wrong at the same time.

Felt a bit of trepidation posting this piece for obvious reasons...
I have no idea why I couldn't post this piece as an entry for the contest. Kept getting the message that I had reserved a spot, but then I couldn't post. I contacted Tom last evening, and he wrote to post it as a stand alone, and he would remedy the situation...
So pleased with your "Seal of Quality" recognition. I re-read your wonderful story very early this morning, and then I read my review in which I called you the "Real Deal." That you are!

An extremely well written controversial "dialog-only" contest piece. With lots of common sense and lots of short-sighted opinion in it. Food for thought! And I agree with the speaker who posted the Facebook article: this is not so much pro- or contra-mask wearing or social distancing. It is far more a question of freedom of speech and opinion. Of course, this freedom cannot be and should not be limited by the majority allowing.
