Excellent Poem! The author's words are creative, heart felt and thought
provoking. The artwork is perfect and compliments both theme and words of
this poem. The reader pondered on the words of this poem.

Excellent poem and read it rhymes and flows very well, with great artwork to compliment, if I may, I did stumble on the third line of the second verse
" they took grandma away on it looked like a sled" ( on what looked like) or ( and it looked like) seems to flow with the rest of this wonderful poem****kahpot

Brigitte,
This is a great poignant poem from a child's POV about death. So many times I believe adults don't believe youngsters will understand no matter what they are told. Also, adults may be in the grieving process & leave children out of it altogether. Kids are smart. They pick up on things adults may not believe they will. It is only right for them to be curious. They always have questions about everything--that's what kids do. It is a difficult fact to explain to youngsters even as some adults don't fully 'get it.'
Great job & thanks for sharing. Jan

A very well-written poem. It is indeed difficult to explain to a small child what happens when someone died what it.means and where they are now. Some children will remember until they are older it depends on the relationship they had with the one who died.

I agree that its not enough...but how can you explain what is so hard to understand yourself? None of us really know what happens after death. I like your poem, it was very well written, I love the rhyme and it makes you think. Thanks for sharing.

Bless, this is a lovely poem, about real questions from a small child, who understands more than we get him credit for. I loved it. And I can identify. I lost a parent at a very early age. All the best. Ulla:)))

It is difficult to loose a parent. My mom died not too long ago, her memory will be forever etched in heart.A young child is confused when a loved passes away. I hope God gives us the strength to help answer questions, for we do not know after death, then what? Thank you for taking the time to read and review.

Hi, Brigitte;
It seems one of the hardest lessons we learn in life is to deal with death. I know my own children were spared losing any of their grandparents until they were 10 or so. It was much easier to explain things to a ten-year-old than it would have been at three.
Your poem speaks to the issue in an elegant and rhyming manner.

Death is a bit bewildering for children but my experience is that they soon accept it and carry on. Your poem is heartfelt and sentimental, love Dolly x
