I enjoyed reading this part of your story. I love the way you described the airplane as a "metal tube made for midgets."
The description of the airport moving people from gate to gate to create the illusion that folks were going somewhere is a wonderful delight.

Very many thanks for your review of the first part of my little travelogue, mbroyles. I've been concentrating mainly on poetry for a couple of years but thought I'd try a bit more prose this year. I appreciate and value your encouraging remarks. Best wishes for a happy 2017.

My wife and I have been at the mercy of weather and delays in flights, in international. United airlines who tend to have the oldest and grumpiest femal staff, and the charm of Singapore and Emirates airlines,I think we flown some budget airlines in places Australians are unaware of. Well done, good conversational article, blessings, Roy
