I'm sure because of the great work you have done with these young people their lives have been greatly enriched and they have learnt coping skills to go on without their loved ones. Your poem was informative and well-written. I enjoyed learning about Cocoon and I wish you all the best for the competition.

Thank you for the thoughtful compassionate comments and the 5 wonderful stars that decorate the Poem. Camp Cocoon is a youth camp provided each summer by my company and over one hundred volunteers. It is not restricted to the families of our patients but open, free for kids who have suffered any loss. The expense is great but the benefit is priceless! May God Bless you.

Well written poem and very interesting as well. I didn't know that a place such as this existed, but it sounds very worthwhile. It also sounds like I could have used it in my younger years, losing my mother when I was 8 years old. God bless the people who work there to help these children, and God bless you with your writing - keep up the great poetry!

This is a very commendable tribute to those that have touched the lives of the forgotten, abandoned or alone due to death.
Having great depth in meaningful measures to overcome such loss.
Descriptive and showing a deep visionary for caring, hope and profound love
Good rhythm and flow to your stanzas.

Good poem but a bit of a mystery as I never heard of this organization or of the founders you refer to, like its kind of an inside thing but I think it needs more reference points. don

I loved this poem. The poem in a wonderful Ode to a non-profit organization such as this. I don't think I would have the strong heart to be a bereavement counselor for children. I'd be crying all over the place and that wouldn't do them any good at all. God bless you for your tender heart towards these kids.

This work has reached the exceptional level

Your well penned poem honoring a non-profit organization named "Camp-Cocoon," is exceptional in its presentation, and rhyme. Thankfully, people with a giving heart, respond to such charities that help salve the broken hearts of children.

It must have required a great deal of dedication and patience to have such a job, but serving others always has its rewards. Good use of rhyming and a good clear message. Good luck in the contest. Faye

Hello Poet,
I appreciated you wonderful story of this special camp. It's heart-warming to know these places exist for those poor children that have had a rough time of it, so far. And, I'll bet it is rewarding! What a blessing to share your time and energy watching those kids respond to kindness.
Nice work portrayed here...best of luck with your entry.
Happy New Year, Bill

This is a great poem with great use of rhyme. Makes me want to go check out this awesome camp. I do think it would flow nicer if in the line 'often accompanied by a hug and a tear' you took out the 'a' before hug and tear. This poem is very well written and an enjoyable read. Thanks for sharing!
