Good use of the aabb rhyme scheme. Good end rhyming. Good perfect rhyming with told/cold...way/day. Good alliteration with his/heart...him/he...his/heart...some/say. Good rhythm and flow. Good eye catching photo followed by a clear message.

Sandra, this poem has a lot of emotion running through your message. Sad how man or woman can be so cruel. One offers his/her heart only to be told they aren't good enough. Cruelty at its finest. I have been through this and it wasn't fun. Being disappointed was the worst of it after being told that she loved me. Something changed right before I left Ireland to come back to the States. Oh well, it was her loss and she now admits to her mistake.
You have composed this so well with all of the thought provoking scenario's.

This truly is a story of a Heart so Cold. Excellent mono rhyming quatrains and internal rhyming with stood and looked. Smooth cadence throughout. Excellent ending.

Your poem is very interesting. The way it suggests a woman more or less betrayed a man who loves her, is sad and disappointing. How you have said the woman will find someone she will love, and therefore will understand what she must have done to the man she deceived is poetic justice. Your poem is very well written and constructed. It is also very meaningful and thoughtful. It is an exceptional poem.

Some people just don't have it in them to let someone down gently. The person you describe- a cold soul and narcissistic with little empathy. What comes around goes around is sometimes the only consolation prize.

This poem is really powerful to read. It's like the ultimate telling off. You point the finger very clearly at the cold hearted woman who so callously dumped the impassioned lover. You do this with repeated lines commencing "YOU". It is really effective. The narrative does indeed, tell of a calculating and unkind lover. It flows with great effect through your good use of rhyme and meter. Your final couplet really underlines the vehemence of the storyteller's intent.
