Hmm, something about that German cuckoo clock. So, now we have someone else researching this, lets hope he finds out more, hopefully why this painting is of more interest to Kuznetsov than the actual painting itself. This is becoming more and more interesting, my friend. I love that song too, I watched 'Sound of Music' ten times and still would love to see it again. Another wonderful part, Barbara. :) Sandra xx

Loved Eidelweiss from Sound of Music. Will always regret giving up a ticket on a train trip in our Island state and going to Sound of Music instead. That train only runs on special occasions now. Another great chapter and a couple of spags possibly."I'll need to see those letters." Gaine(s)[d] figured or (fingered)the papers I guess if he wrote on them figured is right.there was (a)man trying to get really close.

This speaks the plan of discussion and making a way out to get back or rescue the thing they wish to return to the original owner; there is a good beginning and ending; I like. DR ALCREATOR

Hi Barbara,

Well, things are moving forward with this lawyer meeting. I wonder about the significance of that clock now as well...

Maxwell Gaines arrived just as Anderson's antique cuckoo clock chimed ten times. - this is really pedantic and I realise no one else will care but this felt a little strange to me. If the clock chimes 10 times, when did he arrive. First chime, fifth, last one. I get the feeling you're going for and what you're saying and it is a neat variation on just saying he arrived punctually an 10. Maybe as it started to chime or, by the whatever chime? or maybe drop off times.

Gained figured the papers - not sure what this means.

there was man trying to get really close - was a man.

Hi, Barbara;
It seems we have a new clue. I wonder what the man at the museum was trying to get at. As the mystery continues to grow, so does my curiosity.

Well done and I look forward to more,

~patty~

The time period is a difficult one to keep track of. There was so much NAZI government criminal activity toward the end of the conflict. This is very well written.

Hello Barb
Ah, read something that drew my curious mind about the painting, I'm wondering if it's not the painting that is of value, (what could it be?) it has to be something else.

Without reading any of the previous chapters, I found this story interesting and easy to follow, which is not always the case when starting a reading in the middle of a story. Well done.

You have definitely piqued my interest in the lawyers interest in the clock. I hope you let us know why in a future chapter. I completely understand Shana's frustration and also hoping that getting the painting back will not result in going to court. But the Mafia doesn't scare easily and I am sure they will put up a fight for it. Very nice work with this one. I look forward to the next post.
