Maria,
Your words are strong but sad.
They do paint a horrible picture--something that is true some of the time.
You did a good job with the prompt.
The image is perfect & so sad itself.
Thanks for sharing. Jan

Wow, Maria Jose, those are stark six words, which you managed to turn into a full blown story. The imagination just takes over. Yeah, she's free, but at what price. I liked this a lot. Very well done. All the best. Ulla:)))

You know what? When I wrote this, I kept on thinking of Sally. This could have been her...
Thanks for reading and for the generous rating.

Yeah, that could have been Sally. What a great compliment that my story should give you inspiration. Next chapter is coming soon. xx

OH yes this is a complete story in six words and it is as complete as can be. Todays happening and the whole thing so uncalled for and so many get away with it

Hi, Maria
= Boy, this is far too true these days.
= Excellent depiction in these six words, and the artwork sends it all home.
= Good entry. Good luck in the contest.
Cheers, J

Wow.
There's a lot of meaning in these six simple words, Maria.
Although this story has been told using only six words, I think we can all figure out what type of life this poor woman must've led before her significant other put her out of her misery.
Excellent...

You too, Maria.
You do the same.

That most definitely says everything in just six words. How sad that something like this could happen and unfortunately it does. I agree she is free but what a terrible price to pay for that freedom. Well done. Thanks Maria.

Maria, this is a sad thought, but true all too often. Men who kill are evil as far as I am concerned. It also holds true for women who kill. Many blessings for a great weekend. Patricia

A very well-written heartfelt six-word story. Too many people are abused and keep it silent until they are killed by the abuser before the abuse is revealed.

So true.
Thanks for reading.

Very impressive for six words and only six syllables (because 'killed' is pronounced /kild/ and the other five words are all monosyllables).
It's quite a thought, that being killed might represent a liberation; it makes me think of some very painful incurable illness, from which death comes as a merciful release. Well done!

Thanks for your interesting review. I hadn't thought about the syllable thing.

The sentence break between these two statements adds a dramatic pause that gives time for the full meaning of this short story to take effect in the mind of your reader. It is to your credit that, despite the strength of the picture, the story line does not depend upon it for its effect.
