Dr D,
I enjoyed your poem. Good job on the rhymes & smooth flow of lines. But most of all your message is loud & strong. We all need to be better in dealing with others & not so self-centered or glued to our electronics. I believe you that a simple sincere smile will raise one's spirits. Thanks for sharing. Jan

Yes, indeed. A smile can mean so much.

When I'm shopping, I'm smiling. I watch how people react when they come my way. Ninety-nine times out of hundred, they break into a smile, too.

I'm so glad you posted this. It may make a big difference to someone today.

This is a first class idea though many people will no doubt think you completely mad but yes indeed. If someone is alive today because of your wave yesterday does it matter that someone else thinks you're nuts.

Isn't there such a thing as world smile day? That should be everyday. It doesn't cost anything to raise a smile when you see someone..even if they think you an idiot it will make you feel good if 1 in 10 smile back.

The smallest of gestures--a simple wave, for example--or merely a kind word or two such as, "Hey, how ya' doin; everything goin' okay for ya'?" can mean the difference between life or death to someone who is deeply depressed.
Kudos to you for acknowledging that fact, Dip. You never know, but this simple poem might even save a life today.
Good on ya...
~Deano

:You are so right. Some one responded to one of my reivews and just said I did not seem okay and did I need to talk. I cried because I needed someone to just care. Perfect rhyme and flow

This is a warm, kind and thougful write Dip, and so true. Yesterday I saw a young man sitting in the street with his head in his hands and being ignored by all passers-by and I wondered about his life, but these days with so much crime about, you keep yourself to yourself. Your poem brought this view to my mind and I wished I'd bought him some food now, he probably felt that life was hopeless. Have a great day Dip, love Dolly x
