You did a great job on this and it meets and exceeds the contest requirements. I think Tom is the psycho killer and will either get off due to circumstantial evidence being all the cops have or be found insane and sent off to the happy home. I thoroughly enjoyed this. I wish you all the best in the voting and thank you very much for sharing it.

Thank you so much for taking time to read my story. Your kind words and generous review are greatly appreciated. This story took me a little outside my own comfort zone. I'm glad you liked it. :-)

It was worth the stretch as you did a fine job with it. I am not much into horror myself so I can appreciate it when others step outside their box and try something different.

This was a dastardly delicious retelling of a horrid horror story. The host gets the reader ready with a great mix of psychotic humour and corny puns.

Tom's breezy life is suddenly introduced to the mind of a mass murderer. At first he ignores it, but with each call and each new atrocity, Tom becomes increasingly manic.

In the end he runs out with basics and a gun. The cops catch him and he's up for all the killings.

As the host asks, 'Is this guy a killer with a strange double personality, or has he been framed like Roger Rabbit?'

A lovely blend of macabre humour and good horror storytelling make this a wonderful entry in the contest.

Thank you so much, MFowler, for taking time to read my story. I'm always excited whenever such a talented writer reads my stories, but there is nothing better for me than when they catch the little things, which as I'm sure you are well aware, it doesn't happen as often as we would expect. I always try to stick a little oddball humor in everything. Sometimes it softens the reader up for the hammer. Your kind words and generous review are greatly appreciated, and most of all, I'm just glad you liked it. :-)

Hi Ric, I am trying to come back, after a year of absence, i have no idea who is the one you wrote about, I read a little, but the shooting of the family reminded me of our war of 16 years in my country. I enjoyed reading a little, as due to my eye sight i cannot read long stories. I pray you are doing good, and hope to read more soon. Hugs Terry xoxo

Classic Crypt story. It keeps you guessing looking for clues-suspenful inventive plot. Exploring a world in which evil delights in its dual face. Good luck with the contest.

Hey, Ric. Out to show the world that Dean had better move over, eh? Gruesomely good, my friend. You know how to tap into the horror craving our Fanstorians seem to have. You do it so well. Great job.

Jay Squires, my friend, I'm just so glad to be hanging out with You, Dean, and all these fine people who give me a reason to keep getting up every day. There are too many top dogs in the contest for me to be competing with, I'm just glad to be rubbing elbows. I'm honored any time you find time to read my humble beginnings. Your kind words and generous review are greatly appreciated. :-)

You've been spending too much time with Dean. Your mind is taking on his personality. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a dark read.

Thank you so much, Charlie, for taking time to read my story. Your kind words and generous review are greatly appreciated. I was kinda of shocked when Dean told me that I should send in an entry, and was too afraid to tangle with the likes of him and all the great horror writers. But what the heck, all I could do was embarrass myself, and everyone knows I've done that many times before. So I sent it in. I'm playing in the wrong league, without a contenting chance, but I'm in the game, coach. I appreciate you! :-)

Great job of scaring the living daylights out or me!!!
Great piece of horror, my friend, and sure to be a winner in the contest.
Wow, so is he the purportrator, or victim?? Hard to tell...
Tom and Jerry??? Really???
Great job all the way around!!

Thank you so much, Rhonda, for taking time to read my story. Your kind words and generous review are greatly appreciated. I hope you're right, but highly doubt I can get a nod against some of the outstanding group that showed up. But it's the thought that counts, and I thank you million! :-)

This was incredible. It was like one of those Creep Show episodes. I'm glad you didn't take us through unnecessary gory details you focused on the one character and the reader can gauge the suspense by his reaction. Great job.

I tried not to make it gory, just let the story headlines create the chill. Then, leave readers to decide if he has multiple personalities, was framed, or whatever. At one point, this story was 1,887 words and I was less than halfway through it. Then, I cut it back to 700 words, excluding the intro and ending cap. And wouldn't you know it, the word limit was expanded to 1000 words, meaning that I could have made my story much better, but there just wasn't enough time to do any patching. I'm probably in over my head with the likes of the group in this contest, but it's fun rubbing elbow with some mighty fine horror writer. I appreciate you! :-)

Don't doubt yourself. When I was in college I wrote a short story for a professor. I have always had my own voice and this teacher taught template style writing. She read mine and told me I would probably never be a very good writer. I bought what she told me. Didn't write for a decade. So, hold your head up and rub those elbows.

Thanks for your encouraging words. I didn't know a noun from a verb two and a half years ago, and not that much more now. I was good in sports. So, I always managed to get my grades. Then, I always had a secretary. I read well, but only newspapers, magazines, or something I just needed to know. I read my first book at 37, and my second at 47. And now, on average 3 a week, besides all the reading I do on here. I have some catching up to do with the top dogs, but I'm enjoying every minute of it. Thanks! I appreciate you! :-)

Ooooh, good one!!! I really liked your horror story! Is this a story you could continue with? I'd love to know what happened, if he was framed or involved somehow. That ending was excellent! It definitely left me curious. This contest looks like it would be a lot of fun. I hope you win! This was definitely a great read! :)

Thank you so much, JennaG, for taking time to read my story. Your kind words and generous review are greatly appreciated. I'm sure there isn't any chance for me with the group assembled for this, but it's fun for a humble beginner to rub elbow with some of the best. :-)
