Just hope she got it right! I've decided to give her a bit of a makeover--just in case she hasn't! Alexis x

Laura is sticking her neck out a little with the Christmas card but I think it will be just the thing to spark closer ties with Jack. Karen is manning the phone for them and hoping to make some big bucks in order for them to catch up on bills. Well done Alexis. :<) Nancy

Laura doesn't know whether he has feelings for her or not. He's a bit of a cold fish at times, which is the opposite to her late husband. Only time will tell! Alexis x

Jack's Christmas card sounded cold. I hope Laura has not gone to far with the use of 'love' in her reply card. Some men are funny about using the LOVE word.

The plot thickens! Laura giving Jack a bit of encouragement was unexpected for me, but I liked it. I also like how she thought the card out, that it was an intentional choice and not just something she does for everyone. I also liked how you highlight the differences between Jenny and Karen. These women are very different but they have something (need of money) in common that brings them together. But you show the sparks those differences could cause. I like it.

I spotted one typo: "When she remember(ed) her conversation with Mr. Stewart..."

Thank you so much for spotting that. Yes, Laura's relationship with Jack might develop into something more meaningful but I'm not convinced that he's 'man' enough for her yet. Only time will tell! Alexis x

I always sign off that way, whether it is to a female or a male. It is nice, warm and friendly. AND can be taken any way you might want it to. That would be something, if he is thinking he might stand a chance, Laura seems to like the idea! I like these fill in chapters, we get to see more of their day to day thoughts and what they are up to out of the 'office'! Well done, Alexis! Loved it. :) Sandra

Me too, Sandra and, until recently, I thought everyone did. Some people don't realise how impersonal or formal just a name sounds though! Alexis x

If Jack is hoping for/expecting
more, then by Laura writing - Love, Laura -
is she perhaps giving him the wrong message
(Unless she means it, of course)

Toward the top - moment of stisfaction - a is missing
I still just crack up laughing thinking of her saying that to the vet! That was a good save with the boyfriend idea. Until next time.
