I enjoyed reading this fun hippo story-poem. We once had a hippo in our garden. They can be very dangerous, especially when they have calves. On the other hand we went fishing once and our boat's motor cut out on a sand bar near hippos. The men had to jump out and push the boat to get it going again, and luckily the hippos just watched us.

Yes they are quite dangerous but I didn't think you really meant that you wanted to spend time in close company with them. This is a cute poem that makes light of the character of hippos.

I am giving you a six because I am always delighted to read a poem about hippos. Love the verse about spas and giving hippos facials. Your words put the reader in another world,a fantasy one where hippos take part in human activities. I find the hippo to be a fascinating creature worthy of poetry.
