Everything here is great. The poem fits the prompt criteria, That cheeky wee face certainly gives it character and brings everything to life. Your last line sums it all up perfectly.I like the couplets best of all, they set the scene for me.

You have your hands full Debra. LOL

Debra, She's a doll! But, she does look like she could keep you busy.

"I know she knows she's got me where she wants me."

When these darling little children come into your life, they start learning life lessons immediately. My granddaughter is 35 years old today. When she was young, she said, "I want to live with Grandma, she cuts up my meat."

Thanks for the memories. Carole

Debra, this is an excellent codary If it's the requirements of that their of which is also very moving. Dear imagery and this one is very artistically expressive and touchingly descriptive. The picture itself is worth 1000 words and your poem really complements your picture and that there of the picture complements your poem. Thank you for sharing them posting this for everyone and made the Lord be with you always.

And just how did she get you wrapped around that little
tiny finger? Clearly her grin was irresistible - but I suspect that
this was a case of predisposition ;-) :-)

Nice one :-)

I haven't heard of a Codary before - another interesting form. They keep coming! Yes, there's a definite hint of mischief in that grin! You can't help loving them though, can you? I think most children with a spark of life in them know how to play that game!

This is lovely and I think you have met all the contest rules beautifully with this wonderful entry. Your daughter is a doll and you describe her grin wonderfully. I wish you all the best in the voting and thank you so much for sharing this with me.

Great job executing the format of this prompt. I don't know if I'd stop at that grin... She's got more mischief hiding behind those sparkly eyes and that little wrinkle in her nose! You already probably know this, but you're in for big trouble... I bet she'll give you lots of stuff to write about.

As a mother myself I could really relate to this poem. Your daughter is beautiful and you did a fine job describing her antics. I felt like your poem was describing me with my own young daughters! Doesn't need much work except maybe tell us a lttle more next time!
