We always hid the Easter eggs in our house. I remember having to keep a list where we his them so we'd know where to find them. The problem was Mark and Cindy (older two) would find Robbie's (youngest) and hide them elsewhere. He would get do mad!!!
Great poem Carolyn. Hope your Easter was enjoyable. John

As there was rain often on Easter, we did that too. I remember in late May, finding one beside the couch cushion and the arm, crushed. Yuk LOL
Fun memories,
Thanks John :-)Carolyn

A lovely lighthearted romp from beginning to end, Carolyn! I loved the trip down memory lane! Very inventive, it flows beautifully with great descriptive language! The aabb rhyme scheme is great, and the meter nice and even, well done, Carolyn. Blessings, Roy.

Carolyn, I really enjoyed your rhyming couplet Quatrains very much because of your ingenuity and creativeness in developing a resourceful piece of poetry that was fun to read. Through your lines you brought enjoyment And fun during this Easter egg hunt. I found your rhymes to be neither forced, labored or strained and your rhythm's meter flowed very well throughout the poem. Thank you for sharing and posting this for others and may you have a good one.

Thanks for this great review. I am so glad you color eggs, we do too, just for fun. We both love boiled eggs anyway. :-) Carolyn

Yes, I then make deviled eggs, and macaroni salad out of them!

Good use of the aabb rhyme scheme. Good end rhyming. Good perfect rhyming with run/sun...hide/side. Good alliteration with to/take...he'll/hide...big/boys...through/the...watch/with...Easter/eggs. Good rhythm and flow. Good complimentary photo followed by a clear message.

A delightful illustration of how Easter time is so infectious when it comes to putting smiles and excitement upon every child's face. But hopefully they are old enough to know the importance of this time of year.

This is a perfect Easter poem, I had been wondering if anyone would post one, and yours did not disappoint in the least.
suggestion:
all are brightly colored with prizes [inside]
